I'm really not a sensitive person at all, ESPECIALLY when it comes to my birthday. It's just a day and I don't care to make a big deal out of it. But for some strange reason, I'm sad about someone's lack of interest in it. Something doesn't feel right.

Sorry about such a downer post. Thanks to those who called as I turned 31. Probably just PMS, but for the FIRST time in my life, I cared that I heard from my friends on my birthday. I was volunteering in Tyler's class for most of the day so I didn't get to answer some of my phone calls, but I got your messages and it put a smile on my face. You know who you are, and I am blessed to have you in my life.

Chase wakes me up every morning by bringing me my home slippers. How cute is that? It reminds me of a dog bringing his leash to his owner to get walked. And if I put my feet in front of him, he will place the slippers on my feet. Even though half the times, he places the left slipper on my right foot and the right slipper on my left foot, this morning ritual always brings a smile to my face, however tired I may be.

The boys are getting bigger, which means they play together! Hallelujah! When we were in Viginia, they played together for a whole hour in our hotel room without needing any help from me. I thought it was amazing and it nearly brought a tear to my eye. Of course, I got emotional because they are now really playing with each other, but mostly, I got emotional because that means I have some more freedom now and I don't have to literally be next to them every second of the day.

My days are filled with driving them here and there, shopping, and having play dates once in a while. I'm pretty beat by the end of the day, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I love watching my boys grow! Tyler amazes us with his memory (boy remembers everything!) and his awful dancing (he got it from his daddy!). Chase makes us laugh by trying to be just like his older brother (he even tackles Tyler to the floor!) and by giving us his big bear hugs and long, wet kisses.

Happy Day everyone!

Some pictures of Katie, my niece. She is a girly girl... Claud, I hope you don't mind!

She likes to chat on the phone.

She knows all the latest skin care products.

She likes to wear pink and coordinate with her mommy, my sister!

She kisses boys at the beach.

She likes to wear comfy robes at nice hotels.

She loves to be read to by her cousin, Tyler.

She doesn't like it when Chase touches her things.

Lastly, she just knows she's cute!

Chase says, "Give me that!"

Thumper says, "Food please!"

In Carlsbad...outlet shopping.

Christmas cards. Next year, I think I will be a little more creative in the way I display them. Do you see your card?

My big boys enjoying their chocolate pretzels from Christine. (thanks..they were yummy!)

The boys waiting at Jen and Vinh's wedding rehearsal.

Walking around a lake with Uncle Rich. What is on his head? I think it was Katie's hat.

Tyler had a blast Christmas eve running around with his cousins.

Though I think he was a bit jealous of their videogames.

He was very proud to show off the cupcakes he made for the party. I just noticed some of them are burnt! haha...we tried!

Chase loves Thumper.

Doesn't Tyler look so big in this picture?

We think my mom liked her present!

Daddies are just different than mommies!

All I can ask is, "WHY?"

Here is a video entitled, One Morning with Tyler and Chase. I took this about a month ago when I first got my new camera. This particular morning, Tyler was crying because when he woke up, Jason had already left for work. He kept saying that he needed a hug and kiss from his daddy so we called and Jason told him that he would come back home. This is what I shot while we were waiting for Jason to come back.

This past weekend, Jason's parents came over to watch the boys and we went to watch our first "adult" movie in over a year. We watched Slumdog Millionaire, and I loved it! I knew nothing about the movie except that it had to do with the show Who Wants to be a Millionaire. In the beginning of the movie, it shows two young brothers living in the slums of India without their parents, stealing food, trying to make money, etc, and I couldn't stop thinking of my boys. I was near tears thinking about Tyler and Chase, and thanking God for them and thanking God that they had each other.

The following day, we went to Disneyland. When we were on the Pirates ride, Tyler held onto Chase's jacket. When I asked him why he did that, Tyler said he didn't want Chase to fall out of the boat. Just to play with him a little bit, I told him that it would be ok if Chase fell in the water, that he would just get a little wet and that it would not be a big deal. His response: "OF COURSE NOT! Chase does not know how to swim! He will drown!" It was the cutest thing ever and the whole ride, I kept looking at Tyler's hand holding so tightly to his brother's jacket and thinking of what a wonderful older brother Tyler is and will always be.
