Spaz Attack

Thoughts from a big spaz who has lots to spaz about.

Gung Hey Fat Choy! Ok, a day early, but I'm in a festive mood! :) I haven't written in here for awhile. Yesterday, Jason and I had dinner at Mastro's to celebrate my 28th birthday. Crazy, huh? A year has already passed.

Tyler is now walking!!! For about a week he would take one or two steps and fall, but two days ago when I was talking on the phone (Jen, you witnessed history!), he took about six steps. Yesterday, he was all over the place. Still falling after seven steps, but definitely walking!

Another thing he started doing yesterday is talk on the "phone." We would give him the remote control and he would put it to his ear and talk! He would talk, wait a second, and even laugh!! Can you believe that?! We were amazed, especially because we acutally try to hide our cell phones from him when we are on it so he won't try to take it away. It was too darn cute.

One more thing. Jenn got Tyler his huge monkey chair for Christmas and he LOVES it. When we say, "kiss monkey," he goes and kisses it on the nose. He will do this even if he is in a room away from the monkey. He will crawl for what seems like forever to kiss his monkey chair if we tell him to!

I finally got my small camera! So hopefully, I will take more pictures and post it on this site to share with y'all.

Jason and I have to start planning Tyler's first birthday. Nothing big. If you know us, we like to keep things nice and simple. Does anyone know of any nice banquet rooms around LA?

Jason will be gone all next weekend...what a bummer. I wish we could go to San Diego with him, but it's too hard to travel with Ty.

I recently ordered 300 more books for Tyler. Needless to say, Tyler has a library here...and the booger can't even read yet! I get such a high getting books for him. It's dangerous.

Claudia is getting bigger. Her baby will be here mid May so the count down has begun! OOOHhh...I can't wait!

I can't think of anything else to write. Just a quick update of my viva loca. Actually, it's not crazy at all. Go to work, come home, play with baby, eat dinner, go to sleep. Repeat in the morning. That's how my mundane schedule usually goes! :)

It's so cool to have internet access at school...finally! Not that I can use it that often, but I'm happy. The kids are at lunch. This is my favorite time of day...haha. It was hard to leave Tyler at home today. He waved bye bye to me as I opened the door and I swore I had given birth to a genuis! ;) He is amazing!

I can't wait till Kate gets here. She will be a cute as a button (Are buttons cute?), like Claudia and Dave. A lot of people tell Claudia and Dave that they look alike.

Anyways, the bell just rang. Gotta run...this is fun!

I wanted to share how Tyler is growing and changing everyday! He is able to do quite a lot now.

When we say kiss in Korean, he brings his lips closer to our lips. When we say bye, he waves. When we cough, he coughs. When we make bubbles with our lips, he does the same. When we say "ahh," he repeats. He walks around with his walker. He dances to music. He has a little basketball game and knows where to put the ball. He hits his little drums with his hands. He LOVES books. Every since he was little, I would read to him. Now, he actually turns pages himself and makes sounds (I think he is pretending to read!).

I don't ever want to be like one of those bragging Korean moms, but just wanted to share how our Pumpkin's brain is developing! It's so much fun to see him grow!

So I decided to get rid of my last post. I think I was in a sushi coma last night when I posted it. I guess I'm still shy about it and think it's too personal. No balls. Not yet. I guess some of you might have read it. I know Susan did. (Girl, what were you doing up so late?) Anyways, I guess it wasn't time.

Yesterday was a fun day. We went to the park and then went to the LA Auto show. At the Auto Show, I didn't see anything I couldn't see online. hahah. It was hilarious to see people take pictures around and inside of cars they could only dream of buying one day.

Can't believe I go back to school tomorrow. Wish me luck!

There are three things I can't wait to have once we get our own house:
1. A nice big pantry: since I am obessed with bulk shopping at Costco, it would be great to actually have a place to store everything!
2. A treadmill: we can't get one now because we don't have anuy room in our apartment. I've already told Jason that this will be my first purchase after we set foot into a house.
3. A grill: actually, this is Jason's wish, but I would like to have one as well. Jason could show off his fire making skills and act manly with Tyler while handling a steak.

Tyler is too cute. I have music on right now and he is moving his legs to the beat. Too cute.

These past two weeks have been amazing because I got to stay home and be with Tyler. It's going to be torture going back to work next Monday. I'm dreading it already.

I got to see my lovely sister Gina this week. It was so great seeing her again. I wish she lived in Cali so I could see her more often. But girl's got too much to do and accomplish before she settles down in suburbia.

Did I tell the world that Claudia is having a girl! We're so excited and can't wait for Kate to join us in May!

Yesterday, Jason and I went to watch King Kong but it was sold out. Oh well, I guess it was for the best because I didn't know how I would stay away from Tyler for three hours to watch a dang movie...the guilt of being a mom.

My New Year's resolution is to live a more healthy life. It's not about losing weight, but I just want to stop eating all those processed foods. It's kind of hard to live like this when you are married to Mr. I Love To Eat, so part of my resolution is to change Jason's notion of eating healthy as well.

These past weeks, I wish I could have seen more people, but I cannot go anywhere with Tyler alone because he HATES his carseat. He will cry hysterically. Therefore, I ALWAYS have to travel with someone else. Richard calls himself Kunta Kinte (from Roots) alluding to the fact that he is my slave. If Tyler would just sit still in his carseat we could have done a lot more this break. Hopefully he will grow out of it soon.

Tyler has been losing so much weight! Our little "Meatball," as Matthew likes to call him, is a lean meatball now! Jason keeps joking that I am starving his boy, but, I don't know, he eats and all! Not too worried but it's kind of weird to see pants that were too tight for him at three months be loose at 9 months.

Gotta run...Tyler's awake!
