Thoughts from a big spaz who has lots to spaz about.

It was a great week full of Korean pride...First, John Park is safe for another week on AI. Whew... (John, you need to work on that song selection, but you will always have my vote!)

And then, of course, there is Kim Yuna's win in figure skating. I've NEVER seen her skate...not ONCE, but she won me over with her short and long program. I've seen other skaters do jumps, but Yuna's jumps look like so light and airy. She is adorable and I am a fan (you have to say "pan" like how koreans say the word "fan"). Oh, and aren't her skating outfits the cutest? They look so modern and classy! I loved everything she wore at the Olympics...can't say the same about her competition...can you say "chohn shi ruh wuh??"

I love ice skating!! I used to take lessons when I was little so I can totally relate to Kim Yuna and her jumps. Well, I could only do one twirl so maybe not TOTALLY relate, but somewhat. And don't you laugh at the thought of me doing twirls in the air... sorry about the unneccessary disturbing visual. haha...Well, I'm so inspired by the Olympics that I have Tyler and Chase pegged to do something on ice. Figure Skating? Over Jason's dead body. Ice hockey? Possibly. Speed Skating? That's another possibilty!

Olympics are just so inspiring. I wish I could write more about how the Olympics has inspired me but it's a beautiful morning and I need to give my boys their first skating lesson! haha....

Our trip to San Diego....

Random pics....

I love dressing the boys in the same pj's!

Tyler holding his marshmallow sculpture. He really enjoyed making his "bridge."

We love playing with Baby Ethan!

My boys!

Chase had a little "boo boo" and Tyler put band aids on all his fingers when I wasn't looking...oh my.

My silly boy!

Days at Disneyland...

Day at the beach

I was proud that I chose to eat something healthy for lunch and now I am eating a whole bag of potato chips...yuck a roo!

I am on a quest to teach my boys Korean. Man, I totally dropped the ball on this one. I don't know, I love teaching my boys about anything and everything, but when it came to teaching them ANY Korean, I had this mental block. It was like, I know my Korean is not perfect, well, Ok, it sucks, so why bother? But, I realized that a little is something and a little might help them one day.... like to marry a nice Korean girl who doesn't talk back, listens to her mother in law, cooks all day in the kitchen, and puts warm slippers on my deserving boys when they get back from a hard day's work. I kid! Anyways, I just need to get Jason on the bandwagon. Can you believe that Jason came to America when he was 11 and he doesn't make an effort to speak to the boys in Korean!! I mean, he practically came off the boat last week! I have a good excuse not to talk to the boys in Korean...like, um, that I came here when I was 3...from BRAZIL!!! Come on now, what's his problem?! So anyways, if you hear me and I'm talking to the boys in Korean, please do not discourage me with any taunts and laughs. Yes, I know that I started my own Korean dialect- called Korean Valley Girl- but I shall try. And if my boys end up speaking Korean Valley Surfer Dude, I AM SORRY!

What possesses me to drink coffee and milk tea boba when it makes me feel jittery and anxious? I am shaking all over from my tea drink right now. I hate the way it makes me feel, but I love the taste of it and sometimes decaf is not an option.

Tyler learned how to text Jason recently so he texts Jason all day long, even in the mornings when I am still sleeping! It's so cute to read afterwards. It says things like, "Hi. Jason. Or. Daddy. Good. Morning. What. Are. You. Doing? Chase. Is. Stil. Slypeeping. I Miss. You. I. Love. You. Ethen. Is. Here. His. Face. Is. Red." (I still have to teach him that he doesn't need so many spaces in between words.) His texts make my day. I can only imagine how Jason must feel getting them at work.

Man, better lay off on the caffeine. It seriously makes me feel like something bad is going to happen because my heart is thumping so hard and I'm so shaky. It's a weird feeling. It's not good for my psyche. Gotta stop.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

I FINALLY recorded Tyler reading a book a couple of weeks ago. It was the first time he read this book so don't think that he memorized anything! :)

Good job, Tyler!!! Mommy is proud of you!

Today, Tyler came up to me hugging the book The Giving Tree and said, "This is my favorite book ever." It came out of nowhere so I was surprised. I asked him why and he said that the tree loved the boy so much that he shared everything that he had. awwww... my sweet, sweet boy.

I am soooo mad at myself right now. It is almost midnight and I did something totally rash without thinking of how crummy it would make me feel. Damn it. I wish I just slept on it for one night. It's really no big deal. Don't ask me what it is because I'm so embarrassed I won't share, but DAMN, I am really, really, really mad at myself right now.....feel like crying, screaming, shaking Jason up, something. I haven't felt this bad in awhile. Hopefully, it's just hormones or something but I just feel like crap. Gotta go to sleep. Maybe I'll feel better tomorrow morning. :(

Random thoughts:

1. I have so much to do right now. What the heck am I doing on the computer?!

2. Have you tried Luna Lemon Zest Bars? Yummy! Can't believe it is semi-healthy for me...it taste like a candy bar to me!

3. I hate to be a trader to my race but I will never understand how Koreans eat their side dishes. You know, put it in the middle and have everyone poke their chopsticks into it? Can you say GROSS?! Can you say UNSANITARY? Can you say I DON'T WANT TO BE FRENCH KISSING MY UNCLE? Sorry, I just don't want my friend's cold and my cousin's cold sore. Thanks, but no thanks. Somethings gotta change. I plan on starting a revolution, a boycott, something.... Koreans, let's start something new in 2010. It's never to late to change.

4. If you want to be the best, efficient mom, you HAVE to be type A. You have to be the type who is always up and moving, tackling things here and there and never letting a minute go to waste. Note to self: Turn off the TV!!

5. I love it when Chase says, "You're a bad mommy. Really, really bad." He says it to me when he doesn't get his way and I think it is so cute!

6. I went shopping at the mall yesterday for the first time in over 6 months! yay! It's been so long that I kind of felt out of it for the first thirty minutes, like a big ol' dweeb at the mall! But, after my first purchase, I was back, baby...back in full force!

7. I'm a practical kind of girl. I don't like it when Jason buys me a huge bouquet of flowers! Here is a conversation we had when we first got married, "Jason, now that we are married, your money is my money (emphasis on MY). Don't spend money on huge bouquets of flowers anymore. I would much rather spend the money on things we need around the house. To me, one .99 cent rose is the same as a $100 dozen roses...the sentiment is the same. Got it?!" Is that mean of me? Well, it hasn't stopped Jason from ordering bouquets of flowers to have delivered to the house (for reasons I won't get into here), but he knows how I feel about it.

Gotta run....so much to do....so little time....or shall I say, so little time MANAGEMENT... ;)

Did I tell you guys that I recently found all my old pictures after 7 years! I thought I left them at my mom's house but she told me that she hasn't seen them anywhere, so for awhile I thought all my pictures were long gone. So, one Saturday, I decided to just go over there myself and check all the boxes in her garage, and guess what?! I found them! My prayers were answered! Anyways, it's been so much fun to look at all the old pictures and relive old memories. I told Jason that I love looking at old pictures and his comment to me was, "I don't live in my past." For some reason, that cracked me up.

So, I have so many pictures with this beauty, Susan Park, now Susan Kim, but for some reason, this one tops as my favorite. God knows it's not my favorite because of the way I look...man, can my mouth get any bigger?! But, we were so young and giggly, Susan took this picture with her outstretched arm, and I totally remember the moment she took it.

Thank you to Susan for the many years of friendship....all the laughter we have shared and even some tears as well. Thanks for growing up with me and always being there for me. You are truly, truly one in a million. Everyone would be blessed to have a friend like you in their lives. We'll take one just like this one when we are in our fifties. It sure won't be as cute :), but it will make me just as happy to look at it.

Random thoughts:

1 I just cooked up a apple chicken hot dog for lunch and it looks so disgustingly wrong. If you really think about it, meat is so gross....makes me wonder why I eat it.

2. I'm totally excited to watch American Idol this season (and the only other season I watched is season 1) because... of John Park! I hope he makes it to at least top 24! Can't wait for next Tuesday!

3. I watched a bit of Kell on Earth yesterday and couldn't believe that some people actually live with that much stress from work. I wouldn't/couldn't live like that. I couldn't live with bosses who yell at me and all that craziness. I would seriously buckle under all that pressure and just quit. It wouldn't be worth it to me.

4. I turned 32 a couple of weeks ago. Craziness! I feel so old! I can't believe we're on our way to turning 40...wowsers. I want to be Forever 21! :)

5. A couple of nights ago, Jason came home early and told me he was going to take the boys somewhere. He didn't say anything, but I could tell that he thought he was doing me this HUGE favor or something. I was so happy to FINALLY have some quiet time alone at home to do WHATEVER I wanted. Then, as he was walking out the door with the boys, he said, "Can you have dinner ready for us when we get back?" Seriously, I thought of throwing a shoe at him!

6. Someone asked me what shows I like to watch, so I thought I would write the answer in here: Oprah, Desperate Housewives of Orange County, Dateline, Toddlers and Tiaras, 20/20, 60 minutes, American Idol (this season only). Basically, I only watch news shows or reality TV. I don't remember the last time I watched a scripted show. I don't follow Lost, Gossip Girl, or any other hit show. Jason only watches ESPN, food vs man, Deli, Diners, and Dives, Ultimate Fighting Champion (is that what it's called?), and CSI type shows..... could our choice of shows be any different? Thank God we have two tvs.

7. Time flies, huh? Days are going back so fast these days! Hope to see y'all soon!
