I just checked my site and I was so happy to get a comment from a long lost friend, Jee Soo! Hi Jee Soo! It's been too long since I last saw you. I thought I would see you at our high school reunion and was disappointed that you weren't there. I even told my sister afterwards that it wasn't the same without you. It felt like someone from our class was missing...you!
Jee Soo asked if I have always loved children or if that came about after I had Tyler. Seriously, I have always loved children. You know when counselors ask you what you want to be when you grow up? I always said I wanted to work with kids. I know that everyone has different passions and mine is definitely children. If I'm watching the news and I hear of something bad that has happened to a child, I will weep sometimes. If I hear of any injustice or harm done to any child, I just want to find them, pick them up, hug them, and be their protector. Children are the so precious. When I look in a child's eyes, I see so much love and all their potential. Really, I think I'm looking into an angel's eyes. We adults have so much to learn from children, from the way they laugh to the way they dance and even the honest way they think.
Sometimes, the love I feel for other children even surprises me. I now have a son who is almost 2 and a half, and I love him so much that it's even hard to put into words the depth of what I would do for Tyler. You would think that the love I feel for all children would diminish since I have Tyler in my life. I even thought that would be the case. But, nothing has changed since having Tyler. I still think that all children are the most precious creatures sent from God. There is nothing that makes my heart happier than making a child feel loved and special.
