Spaz Attack

Thoughts from a big spaz who has lots to spaz about.

Chase is so funny. Every time Tyler does something bad, he says, "Trouble maker" in his rugged, manly voice. It's funny, cause I've never said that too them and Jason swears he's never said it either. But it's so cute cause Chase knows exactly the right times to say it to Tyler and everyone always cracks up.

Another thing that Chase does is that he blames Tyler for everything! Today, we were furniture shopping (I know, again!), Chase fell and scraped his knee. If you ask him what happened, he always says, "Tyler did it," but Tyler wasn't even there with us when it happened! He says this all the time when we ask him, "Who did it?" or "What happened?" No matter what the situation, he always says, "Tyler did it."

Tyler says some funny things as well. A couple of weeks ago, I took the boys out for a walk around the new neighborhood. It was getting dark and Tyler said, "The owls are waking up. It's time for us to go home." Of course I knew what he was talking about but I asked him why he said that and he said, "Cause owls wake up at night and it's getting dark so we should go home." What four year old talks like that?

Also, during this same walk, he looked at a house and said, "We should have bought this house." I asked him why and he said, "Because the windows on the second floor have a small patio and that would would stop Chase from falling to the floor if he went out the window." AHH!! My cutie pie!

I mean, seriously, he says weird things like this all day long. We were getting shaved ice the other day and he said, "The owners must get a lot of customers in the summer." I asked him why and he said because people eat shaved ice when it's hot. It amazes me because I don't think I thought like that until I was at least ten! :)

Since Tyler knows that we're starting a school at our house soon, he is constantly on the lookout for things we might need at our school. He always tells me things like, "We need this and we need that because...." It cracks me up whenever he gets so into it. He loves looking at school supply catalogues and putting dog-ears on pages he thinks I should look at later. Oh, and the boys call me teacher whenever they think I am in "teaching" mode- like when we're doing an art project or reading a book or singing songs. I don't even ask them to call me teacher. They just do...even Chase!

Of course, everyone thinks their own children are amazing, but I think the world of my boys! :)

On the home front, things are not looking any better. We have so many things we still need to purchase and we're seriously going at a snail's pace. Jen said it best when she said that I need five whole days without the boys at home to get this house together. So true!! You know when you feel like you have so much to do, you don't know where to start? That's where I am right now. I'm surrounded by things I have organize, purchase, frame, put up, etc...the list seems endless. Oh, and these darn ants are not helping the situation! It's like, I can't sweep up every little crumb the kids drop!!!

Well, can't wait till the weekend cause it gives me hope that we'll get some things done with Jason at home! We really need to purchase a sofa/couch/or sectional this weekend. Sitting on beach chairs was kinda fun for a little while, but it's getting really old!
