Spaz Attack

Thoughts from a big spaz who has lots to spaz about.

Hello! I can't believe this site actually works on my computer! I couldn't log onto blogger this whole time. I'll get upset if I explain why so I won't get into it.

I've been gone for so long, I don't know where to start! First off, exciting news! I got a perm! ;) It is a goal of mine to get at least six different hair styles this year. I know, I am one with lofty goals. Such high aspirations for myself! Well, I am so bored with the same ol' long layered look that I've been sporting for the last 10 years or so, so I decided to go crazy this year, from long locks to short cuts. I plan on doing it all! See what you do with yourself when you have too much time on your hands?!

I'm such a bad mom- mentioning my perm before I talk about my boys! Chase is so big now. Actually, I think he has surpassed Tyler in size when Tyler was his age, and Tyler was no small shrimp. Chase is now wearing 9 month old clothes and his cheeks look like they are about to burst. He still sleeps most of the day and is a very predictable baby. When he cries, we know it one of three things: 1. He is hungry. #2. He wants his diaper changed. #3 He needs to be burped. Other than those moments of tears, he just sleeps. I calculate that I probably have to hold him a total of one hour in a day, which is not a lot at all if you take into account the times he is in my arms to be fed. I don't know how long he will stay an easy baby, but I'm enjoying every moment!

We're not quite sure how Tyler feels about Chase. One moment, he wants to hold him, hug him, kiss him, and call him "my brother." Other times, he tries to push Chase out of my arms and yells, "Not Chase's uhma! Tyler's uhma!" We had one scary moment when Tyler threw a toy at Chase's face and it left a deep gash between Chase's eyes. I'm afraid that it will scar. I say, "Oh well. Boys will be boys. I'm sure there are many more battle wounds to come in the future," but my mom nearly had a heart attack when she saw Chase's face!

The other day, we heard some crying outside our apartment. There is this young boy a couple of months younger than Tyler who lives across the hall from us and he is always crying. Anyways, I opened the door because the cries seemed strangely louder than before and the poor boy was crying all alone without his parents. I think his parents just got sick of him and left him out there to teach him a lesson or something. I felt so bad for him. Tyler was staring at him, looking confused.
I asked Tyler, "Why is the boy crying?"
He response: "He wants my toy."
"Which one does he want?"
"My firetruck."
"Do you want to give it to him?
When we opened the door again, the boy was gone. I think his parents let him back in. I just thought it was really cute that Tyler was ready to give his prized toy to the "crying boy."

Tyler talks so much now. I mean, full on sentences. At first, I wasn't too thrilled about sending Tyler to preschool but I think he learns so much vocabulary from the other kids.
"There is a fly in my house."
"I don't want to eat. I'm not hungry. Don't feed me."
"I want to go to Target to buy a new train."
"Sit here, uhma. This is your spot."

Have you seen the Carl's Jr. Flat Buns commercial? It just came on right now and I think it is so funny! I usually hate Carl's Jr commercials because they are so lame. Remember the Paris Hilton commercial? Lame! But, I find the Flat Buns commercial rather creative and comical! Am I starting to think like an 18 year old male?

Well, hope everyone has a happy Friday and a happy weekend!
