Spaz Attack

Thoughts from a big spaz who has lots to spaz about.

Hey there! Gosh, haven't written in here in awhile. The past few weeks have been hectic with family gatherings and meeting up with friends. Chase was sick for about a week (which means A LOT more work for mommies!) so I was dead tired by the time he fell asleep and went to bed right when the boys fell asleep.

I'm predicting this year will be exciting. Many babies coming along this year! Can't wait to see all my friend's babies! ;) Jason is taking next week off and we'll be in Virginia for a couple of days next week. That should be different and fun!

Happy New Year!!!
Love,
Cristina

Chase and I went over to the Kongs last night to exchange Christmas presents and we had such a great time! The topic of high school came up and it was so much fun to rehash and relive high school all over again. It's amazing how two versions of "what happened" could be different and all the little things you can forget. I loved how Conrad was in the room listening to all the craziness. He probably thought we were psycho! ;) Well, we will have to do it again sometime, but next time, we have to have more girls in the action. Who's in?!

We're off to San Diego for Jen and Vinh's wedding. I should be packed and have my speech ready, but of course, I'm procrastinating! I can't wait till they are married...two of the best people in the world.

Happy Friday! Have a great weekend!

Tyler is too cute. Tonight, before he went to bed, he walked into the kitchen where I was doing the dishes and said, "Mommy, I would appreciate it if I could get a snack before going to bed." So I peeled an orange and gave it to him to eat. A few minutes later, he walked back into the kitchen and said, "Mommy, this orange is horrible." Just imagine this said in the cutest toddler voice imaginable.

Yesterday, he called me to do something for him (I forgot what it was.) and as I was doing it for him, he said shaking his head, "Parents have to do everything around here." haha... that's so true, Tyler, but please change "parents" to "mommy!"

Two videos of the boys freaking out at Chuck e Cheese because they are scared of Chuck E...(is that his name?) I am such a mean mom... listen to how I just laugh at them like a hyena! Also, I have to ask, "Do I REALLY sound like that?" I mean, is my voice that freakin' annoying and nasally? Oh geez, I'm glad that I don't have to listen to my true voice all day long!

I think I'll use this site to write some product review for some of my fave products! Yay..

1. First product review is for Dearform slippers. I can't believe I lived without these slippers in my life! I bought it two months ago and have worn them every day since. They make my feet toasty and cozy, and at only 10.99 a pair (at Costco), it is a great deal! The best part about these slippers are that they are machine washable! I can't imagine slippers that you cannot throw into the wash, though I am sure they exist. I've gotten food on them, stepped into baby rice cereal, and lets not even talk about how stinky some (not mine..some other folks!) feet can get. I love my slippers! If you are looking for a wonderful cheap gift for Christmas, look no further. These slippers are at Costco right now! :)

2. Second product review is for Biosilk Silk Therapy. I'm always looking for products to make my hair shiny and manageable. No one wants fizzy unruly hair! My previous searches for the perfect product to make my hair shiny was all in vain cause they all made my hair greasy and gross. Which reminds me of when I put in some citrus shine in my hair in college and Annie told me she knew that I didn't take a shower in days. Well, that is NOT the "shine" we are going for, right ladies? So then I saw this product at Costco (for about $12) and I decided to give it a chance. Can you say "AMAZING!" I put a small amount on the palm of my hands, mixed it around, then rubbed it onto my hair starting from the scalp to the ends. It made my hair feel like fine silk! None of the heavy, I-put-something-on-my-hair feeling. Just clean, natural looking shine. You can put it on when your hair is wet or dry which is great because, well, I'm not quite sure why, but I like having that option! ;) So, this product would add extra woomp for special days you take the time to straighten your hair or just every day wear for that matter! Just thought I would share about my new find. From one girl to another.... (sorry if there are any guys out there reading this! Y'all can use it too! Products don't discriminate!)

More product reviews to come! :)

Here is a video of Tyler wishing you a Merry Christmas! Now that I have my new camera, I will try to post more videos here! Fun! ;)

Rude, Old Korean Ladies!

Yesterday, my mom came over and, after eating lunch, we went over to a Korean make up store so my mom could pick up some lotion. I was just tagging along and had nothing that I needed or wanted. After this one lady helped my mom pick out what she needed, she turned to me and said, "You have uneven skin tone, large pores, and blemishes. I have the perfect thing for all those problems." I was like, "Excuse me?" I didn't even start a conversation with her or show any interest in any of her products. It's like, thanks lady for pointing out what is wrong with me. Can you imagine if someone at Nordstroms said that? Crazy!

Korean ladies can be so rude! So, that got me thinking of this one other time when a Korean person was rude to me. I don't remember where I was, but after "studying" my face, this person said, "None of your features are nice individually, but they somehow work together on your face." !!! hahaha... isn't that funny? What was I suppose to say... THANKS! Talk about left handed compliment!

I know all you Korean girls know what I am talking about and you know that "stare" older Korean ladies give you, right?

Two things I say to myself to make myself feel better.

1. When my car is extremely dirty, I tell myself that it looks like I went four wheeling (is that what it's called?) in my rugged SUVs...cause SUVs are suppose to be dirty, right?

2. I have this problem of always buying clothes for Tyler and Chase that are too big. For some reason, I feel like I'm saving money but in actuality, I'm not even saving a cent cause I'm always buying one or two sizes up. Anyways, when they look like they are being eaten up by the clothes on their backs, I tell myself they look like little hip hop artists...and that makes me feel a bit better about it.

Even Tyler is worried about the economy, recession, and lay offs! The other day he asked me, "Mommy, did you lose your job?" I said I didn't and asked him why he asked, and he replied, "Well, you don't go to work anymore." He just cracks me up every day!

The next video is dedicated to my brother, Richard, since this is his favorite "boy meets girl" scene in a movie. Rich, one day you will meet your Juliet...can't wait till that happens!

To Christine and Conrad, I am so excited to hear the great news. You guys are seriously the best parents, and Brady and your new addition are so lucky to have you two as parents. Can't wait to see the little one in five short months....Love, Cristina

- I was washing the boys when Tyler was throwing water at Chase's face. When I told him to stop doing that, he said, "Mom, don't worry. It's organic water."

- Tyler was going thru my wallet and taking out my credit cards. When I took them away from him, he said, "Mom, there is no reason to take away the cards. I'm just looking at them." He sounded so grown up when he said it, I just had to laugh.

There are two types of girls that I like and befriend.

The first kind is funny, honest, and real. If a girl tells me something that most people might try to hide, I immediately know I like her. For example, if I tell a girl that I like her shoes and she says something like, "Oh, I have the widest feet so I have to go everywhere to find shoes," I know we'll click. This is just an example, but I think that is really real and honest of her to share, so I will like her! If a girl hides her imperfections and bad stuff going on in her life, and put up a front that her life is perfect and everything is just so honky dory, I might like her, but I know we won't be good friends.

Now, the second type of girl that I know I will immediately like is someone who reminds me of my mom. Let me rephrase that- someone with a personality and demeanour of what I think my mom was like at our age. So what do I think my mom was like? Probably kind of shy. Kind. Soft spoken. Not the center of attention. Not the opinionated one. She was most likely the quiet girl in the corner. Not so quiet that she was invisible, but just not overbearing. I know my mom was really sweet and gave everyone she met a warm feeling with her eyes and smile. So, it's odd, but if I meet someone and I think that she reminds me of my mom, I will immediately bond with her. There is someone at my church who I instantly felt a connection to and I think that it's because she reminds me of my mom! Is this strange?

Ok, by the looks of it, y'all aren't enjoying Radio Cristina. Where are the comments? (Christine, where you at?!)

Well, since pics seem more popular, here are a few from Jason's camera. Sorry, it's all out of order again...I hate blogger!

Tyler's final art project in art class. (I did most of it, but he was really proud. ;)

Thanksgiving Family Picture.

Here is Tyler right after coming out from a bath. I love his little face!

Tyler was getting ready to go to bed and I just had to take this picture of him. He is growing up so fast!

Some pictures taken on Thanksgiving Day. Gosh, we took so many but I still didn't get one that I like! I think this was the last one we took. Look at how annoyed Tyler is!

Tyler is telling Chase to stop.

Stephanie came over to play with Tyler. Here, they were doing some crafts together. Thanks Steph!

Sophia and John came to visit us! Yay! We had so much fun!

Thanks for reading to us, Auntie Sophia!

I think this pic of Chase is cute. Doesn't he look like he is saying, "Rock on!"

I made Tyler wear this hat when he opened the door to welcome guest to our house for Thanksgiving. Jason said he couldn't believe that I wasted money on it!

Chase loves Santa. When you ask him what Santa says, he replies, "Ho ho ho!"

Tyler giving Chase a kiss. awww...

The kiddy table at Thanksgiving dinner. Tyler was so happy to spend the day with his cousins.

We went to the beach and made the boys hold hands to take this pic. haha.

The boys love goofing around!

Messing around.

Cousins on Thanksgiving Day.

Chase looking out at the beach.

My baby Chase.

Tyler eating his breakfast of french toast and odd shaped apples.

Biking at the beach.

Tyler graduated his art class and had a little ceremony! Cute!

Hi guys! Are the music videos getting boring? I just got a new camera so hopefully I will be able to post more pics and even vidoes on this site. It'll just take me about one year to figure things out....be patient with me!

Jenn, you were in my dreams last night. Don't know what it was about, but for sure you were in it. That must mean that I really miss you and can't wait to see you soon!

Well, here is one of my favorite Christian songs. Here is I Can Only Imagine by Mercy Me.

I really just wanted to post one video a day but I couldn't help it. Here is another song that reminds me of 8th grade. I remember listening to it over and over on tape with Susan in my living room.(Susan, you're in like all my Whitney memories!) This song also takes me back to the exact moment when I first heard this song, sitting in a gym when I was a wee little junior high student, looking at all the cool things the upper classmen were doing on the gym floor.

There is something very breezy about this song, don't cha think? Another strange video, but the song is awesome!

Here is Forever Young by Alphaville.

Paperboy....Ditty....classic. In 8th grade, I remember being on three way call with Susan and another girl named Alice. Alice was a "cool" girl, and Susan and I were asking her the lyrics to this song cause we wanted to memorize it. I think I even wrote down the lyrics as she said them to us....how embarrassing! "Do the ditty if you want to cause then I can see if I want to!" haha.

My ALL time favorite song.... I loved it the first time I heard it and I still love it. Enjoy! The video is a bit freaky and ruins the song a bit, so try to listen without looking at the video. Here's I'll Be There by Escape Club. Love it!

Congrats to Yolanda and Kelvin on the birth of Marcus!
Hi Connie! Yay...one more reader! :)
